Haha, so...i have...18 Imported Gothic Lolita Bibles...& the 5 English ones...& I still want more XD

But...the reason I buy them is to see outfit ideas...especially w/ prints that I have ^^

And...to prove my point, I was looking through the "Christmas" issue vol 27(imported)...for ideas for xmas coords...when...I managed to find a lovely picture of the new JSK i just got :D  

It's IW's "Sweets Teddy Bear" print & I have this JSK in black...as well as the shopping tote pictured on the bottom ^^  I had a hard time finding out the name of the print b/c it's an Xmas Fair print ;)  The only "problem" is now I REALLY want that matching handbag...sigh... XD

 I just got a high collar red blouse @ goodwill recently, so i wore it w/ the JSK to bring out the red elements...& then I don't have too many Lolita hair accessories, but berets always seem very IW to me ^_^

My friend recently went to San Francisco & she asked what I wanted...so of course I decided to ask for something from the newly opened H.Naoto store in SF ^_^  I checked the online site & found the perfect little bag that I wanted, so I told her & hoped that she would be able to find it...&...SHE DID!!! XD

Dream Print from Wishlist: Part 2 ^_^

My 2nd Wishlist dress came from browsing Closet Child...it was being sold for much cheaper b/c it was slightly damaged...but you can't even tell ;D

Since ordering from CC can be pretty expensive...my friend & I decided to do a group order to hopefully cut down on the shipping...& It worked out pretty well ^^  I was so worried that shipping would be super expensive, but it turned out to be cheaper than i thought XD

And the whole transaction went really well ^_^  Warning: Many pics ahead ;D

 Package took about a week to come...although i was getting antsy since it was EMS...somehow i thought it would be even faster, but then Thanksgiving & all...sigh...i'm just glad it came XD

  Purple's my favorite color, so it was really weird I didn't have any pretty purple Lolita outfits...but now i got one XD  & The print on this is absolutely Gorgeous ^^ 

A quick coord ^_^  I already had cute lavender bows that match PERFECTLY ^^ & I'm wearing my Cake jewelry, which was also from Closet Child :D  I originally had the OP version on my wishlist, but JSKs have many more coord possibilities ;)  I might even wear this for Loliday...might add a few more accessories though ^^ 

Dream Print from Wishlist: Part 1 ^_^

So, I started my Lolita Wishlist as a way to quickly view prints I really like...but I'd never actually think I'd be able to find any of them...& just recently, I managed to take 2 dream prints off my list XD

First, I found a super cute Innocent World Teddy Bear JSK on the comm sales...& I had one before, but the color didn't match me as well, so I sold it...to buy another one...& the new one matches me A LOT more ^_^

 Not sure of the name, but I think it's IW's Sweets Teddy Bear JSK in black ^_^

 & the seller added the matching tote bag (which is way too big, but i'm gonna alter it eventually ^^)

 It also has the Cutest bow belt ^_^

 Not the best coord, but I was wearing a red shirt when I got my dress, so I just tried it on like that...maybe a casual style ;P

I had to do a payment plan for this dress, but it was TOTALLY worth it...it's super pretty & has lots of coord possibilities ;)

I've bought a cute Fairy Kei pony dress from them before & the service is really good w/ super fast shipping :)

This time, my order consisted of something I needed for a photoshoot...& since I was ordering from there anyways...I "threw in" something else ^^

To give you an idea of the shipping...I ordered the items on a Wed night...they were shipped out on Fri...& then I got it by the following Mon/Tues ^_^  I got mine Tuesday b/c no one was home when they stopped by on Mon XP

 Securely wrapped up in a shoe box, which is a great packaging idea ^^

 My items: A super pretty white Lolita Bag ^_^ &...a punk mask...haha, it's for a shoot ;P

 Anyways, this is pretty much how the bag looked on the site & the quality is really good...w/ longer straps included inside ^^  Perfect for many Lolita outfits!

The only thing is prices can be a little expensive, but the quality is really good & they do have combined shipping XD

Ok, this turned out to be more of a "review" but I just really like this shop & i'd definitely order from them again ;D

Latest Bodyline purchase ^_^

My friends & I just did a group Bodyline order...so...here's my loot ^^

 My purchases: 1 skirt, 1 pair of socks, a necklace & a mirror

 I'm totally into the military style now, so when i saw this print & design i HAD to have it XD

Then, i got some socks to match ;)

A short review: When i first put on the skirt, i couldn't zip it up...but that's b/c they tie the laces super tight...after undoing them, the shirring could stretch & i could zip it up :)  But i've noticed these high waist ones are really snug...so can't eat too much...sigh...too bad I just LOVE this style ^_^

 And now a quick coord : Ok, since for some strange reason i have no Red or White head accessories O_O  I just stuck a red ribbon in my hair...sigh...but I intend to make something to match this of course :D

 The socks are SUPER CUTE ^^ & they're sooo cheap...i even don't mind that there's pink on them ;)

 Another thing i had to get was this epic necklace...it matches perfectly w/ my treasure chest ring XD

 

 Lastly...a pretty mirror :)  Only b/c i'm tired of trying to do my makeup w/ only my little compact :/

This one folds up too, so it's easy to transport ^^  The only thing is the glass isn't covered...but i think i'll try to find a good pouch to store it in.

I'm always happy & satisfied w/ my Bodyline purchases & even though the items are getting more expensive, I think the quality is getting a lot better too, so it's worth it XD

I'm also really excited to start making accessories to go w/ my new skirt & hopefully I can wear it to go see The Nutcracker Ballet :D

Lolita Jewelry ^^

Alright, so i noticed...I haven't really done many Lolita posts O_O  sigh.... SO, here it is, my post geared towards Loli ^^

So, I love looking @ the accessories, especially the jewelry that goes along w/ brand prints...but of course they're expensive :/  & for a while i thought i could hopefully one day get something...but then...i would see really cute "lolita-ish looking" necklaces @ retail stores, like Icing & Forever21 ^_^

Then again, I guess the quality's not there...but anyways, here are some examples:

 Bear necklace to go w/ IW British Bear...I'm trying to sell this dress, but the necklace would match other bear prints ^^ :found @ Forever21

This was also found @ Forever21 & unlike Icing, the jewelry @ F21 is pretty cheap ;)

And lastly, I just found this pretty Pegasus necklace @ Papaya clothing...price wasn't too bad either.

I've also seen little rabbits, bows, foods...& other really cute random things that would be super cute w/ Loli prints XD

HEXXP Weekend!!

Well, it finally came...our HEXXP weekend ^^  Hexxp, or the Hawaii Entertainment Expo was put together by a friend's husband, so of course I went to support XD  &...it was pretty fun ^_^

The main attractions were the guests from Japan: Visual Kei band, ALSDEAD & guitar legend Takashi Ohashi.

 And now a brief breakdown of my weekend:

DAY1:  I wore my Steampunk Lolita...since the theme of the con was steampunk...& sadly the first thing was that my friend(& ride) decided not to go the first day...she wasn't feeling well :(  But, luckily, her husband could still give me a lift to the con ;)  Anyways,  it's still fairly small & new, but there was an artist alley, gaming room, maid cafe, video room & main events room :D  Everything was all in separate rooms except the gaming & AA were partly connected.  & I spent the day going from room to room...mainly staying in the AC'd main events ;)  & following the photogs around ^^  

There weren't a whole bunch of people until the afternoon (when school got out)...& then @ night...there was the AWESOME ALSDEAD concert XD  This was the main attraction for the weekend b/c ALSDEAD was actually filming their newest video while in Hawaii ^^  & part of it was during the concert!  But, besides that, they were sooo amazingly good...& even though my feet were killing me from wearing heels all day, i still jumped around like crazy & rocked out :D  The concert ran about 2hrs or so...& it was actually the drummer's bday, so we all sang happy bday, they caked the drummer, did an encore...& then, they had their autograph session, which was almost too much for me...sooo pretty...& nice...& they shook my hand...*dies of happiness*  ^^

DAY 2:

This was the more stressful day...b/c...we had our Japanese Fashion show...& along w/ being a co-helper, I was also one of the models O_O

So, the whole morning i was just hanging out during the panels: voice actor Kyle Herbert, Takashi Ohashi & ALSDEAD panels...but i was still super nervous up until the show...which went pretty well, i think ;)  We had a full house & we were a little ahead of our music...BUT...it seemed like people liked it, so that was good ^^  It was mainly to spread more of the less popular japanese faashions, like Dolly-Kei & Fairy-Kei ;)  

 My dolly-kei outfit :D  The other thing was that I was FIRST...& Last...so, i was freaking out...a bit...but overall, it was lots of fun & i wouldn't mind being a "runway" model again ^_^  I think all my photoshoots helped me prepare...@ least for the posing part...i still had some issues w/ walking...sigh...i guess we'll find out for sure when we all watch the video...which hopefully will be posted on youtube eventually ^^

Then, the rest of the day was more panels (we did a brief Intro to Japanese Fashions panel), Cosplay contest, closing ceremonies...&  it was SUPPOSED to be another filming day, but the band were previewing their video & stuff, so they didn't come back :(  BUT...instead...they were giving out free CDs of their old label: Dice and Joker, just for being videotaped & saying a greeting to the band :D  We were all being silly making hearts & stuff, but it was sooo worth it...the cd is AWESOME!!

Making use of my bus pass ;D

Since the closing of Borders...& the start of my new temp/part-time job...I didn't have time to use my bus pass...so...last week I decided to use it before the month is over XD  & where did i go...the mall of course ;)  The one I used to work @...sigh...but, I actually went to the other side, so i didn't have time to be depressed w/ the old borders being turned into an Inspiration express :/

Anyways, when I got to the mall i was fine...but then...after shopping a bit...my stomach decided to give me problems...so, a bunch of the stores was me going in & out :(  

But, in the end, I got some AWESOME loot ^_^  & i probably spent a bit more than I intended to ;D

 Not including my 2 "shopping bags" in the back...Spencers had an amazing deal on clearance items: buy 1 get 1 free...so, i got the nightmare before xmas bag...& then got the red punky one for free XD  

Then, the cute socks were from Sears, manga from Bookoff & purple shoes were from Ross' ^^

Shopping @ Ross' was VERY successful & I also got my first animal print top ^^ & an awesome purple jacket to match (it was Steve Madden)   Then, I decided to wear ALL my new items & see how it looks...& actually, it sort of looks like one of those Tokyo Fashion snaps...maybe ;)

Haha, but the other interesting I thought of when looking @ my loot is how all these items represent a side of me: Artsy, Girly, Punky, Goth, & Otaku ^_^   

But, next up is HEXXP weekend, so there'll be LOTS of pics from that...hopefully ;D

Random fashions & purchases of the day ;)

Today, like usual, was nice, hot & humid XP  So, I decided to wear a sort of "casual fairy kei" outfit XD

The theme was: Winnie the pooh...& Eeyore too ^_^

 The white "Top" I got from goodwill (see thrifting posts) & I found it in the children's section XD

It was probably some little girl's dress...that i've now made into a top for me ;D

 & of course, I also found during the same trip, a cute Eeyore backpack to match ^^  I didn't really know how I was gonna wear the pieces, but as a last minute thought, I paired up the white top w/ my purple striped one...& I like how it came out ^_^  It's still not crazy/authentic fairy kei, but if I was into this fashion during school, i totally would have worn this outfit...sigh...but that's why now i'm having fun dressing up XD

So, I wore the outfit to Best Buy & ended up buying 2 cds :)

I found my Florence & the Machine album I wanted ever since I heard her song on SYTYCD ^^

& a Third Three Days Grace album I never knew existed...apparently it came out in '09, but that was when i was mainly listening to my ipod(jpop, anime music, etc), so i didn't even know what was going on in American music...& then, the best buy worker ringing the items up pointed to the tdc album & said "that's a very good album" hehehe ^_^

Okinawan Festival in Hawaii ^^

I hadn't gone in Years...but I finally got to go to the festival this year w/ my mom, my sister & her family & it was just as wonderful as I remember XD  Lots of good food...fun kids games...& even a crafts tent ^^  There was also entertainment, but we were too busy walking around...then, we sat down & ate ;D  Alright, here are the pics:

My prize from playing a kids game called Snake Hunt...was WAY harder than it looks O_O  Imagine digging through a gigantic mound of strips of paper...to find not 1, but 3 plastic toy snakes...sigh...my arm was so sore afterwards XP  but I got a cute bear out of it, so it was worth it ^^

P.S. In case you were curious, I am half Okinawan, half Japanese...my mom's side is Okinawan...& we actually have a club & i grew up going to the festival every year...& even helping sometimes...in the Andadog booth XD  it's always good to experience some of my heritage & I really hope i can go again next year...if anything, just for the amazing food: Andagi, Andadog, Yakisoba, Yakitori, Shave Ice, etc etc...  ;D
