LBC: Personal Lolita Goals for 2015

After my loooong hiatus from this group...I got lazy b/c I have my Ipad now, so I rarely go on the computer ;) But anyways, I figured I should At Least do my goals for next year ^^

So, here we go:

1) Update this blog AT LEAST once a month.  I've been sooo lazy lately & it's not that the topics aren't interesting, but that I just prefer my Ipad & staying in my room to going on the computer in the living room (lazy, see?) But anyways, I buy things A LOT, so if anything I'll try to update with a quick post about my latest purchases (i should do one now actually)...

But ALSO, I now have a tumblr & twitter, so I upload things there & it's easier with the ipad...maybe this first goal should just be "TO NOT BE SO LAZY"...sigh...

2) Buy more "Coordinating pieces"
Things like
blouses(I need brown and more Chiffon ones)
legwear(matching prints)
jewelry
and...most importantly...Headdresses!!
This was also my plan for this year & I got a few, but mainly bonnets & hats...I really want the more elaborate ones, like:

bold colors & gold accents (would also match a lot of my pieces ^^ )

And I'm seriously wanting one of these Veil headdresses...especially this AP one XD

3) UP my Makeup game ;)

And part of this is to get some nice Lolita colored contacts ^^

I have a lot of colored contacts, but they're mainly for cosplaying & are often too bright for my subtleness of Lolita...so maybe getting a nice pale blue or hazel would be good to try with my Lolita outfits ;D

My makeup is very tame: eye liner, eye shadow, mascara &/or false lashes, blush & lipgloss...but I'd like to work on trying more doll-like makeup with maybe "making double lids" or having a more natural look (gotta study all my "Bibles" (Gothic Lolita Bibles) ^^

Or maybe just to experiment more ^^

4) Invest in more underskirts.
I'm offiicially in love with the long petticoats that add extra layers to a dress, so I'd like to get a nice long one maybe in different colors.

I wouldn't mind getting one of Lief's ones since I like the alternating colors ^^

And Lastly,
5) Get some practical bags for Lolita
I LOVE all the shaped bags...but...they don't hold much...and so, I'd like to try getting one of the school-ish type bags, like these:
I desperately need a brown bag & This one is my FAVORITE XDD
I could have gotten it at a convention, but i bought other things instead...I really regret it now...

And a nice Gold bag would match a big majority of my wardrobe ;)

I'm really liking these bags too if just for the shape, but even that last one I could bring to work ^^

Well, those are my goals & most of them have to do with me shopping for things (as usual)...but i'll try my best to stick to them this time...temptation is everywhere...

And now, here are some other Lolitas with their Goals for next year:

Sunday, December 7, 2014

Ok, well, I've been REALLY BAD about keeping up with this blog and all...mainly b/c since I got an Ipad Mini, I haven't really gone on my computer very much ;D

I'm generally a lazy person, so if i can look online & watch my anime in the comfort of my room, i prefer it XD

But anyways, a bunch of my friends starting blogging again, so I thought I should try to update more often too...and what better way to restart than to talk about INTERNATIONAL LOLITA DAY ^_^

Which was yesterday, but my computer was acting up, so doing the blog today ^^

Usually, our local Lolita group will set up a fun meetup for "ILD" as it's being phrased now, but...sadly, I wasn't able to go...

But! I still dressed up, so here we go ^_^

My outfit for the day ^_^
I only went out for a bit, so I kept things casual ^^
This IW JSK is one of my favorites & I managed to snag the matching bear purse in pink, so after finding the perfect pink blouse, I thought i'd try putting everything together ^^

I'm pretty happy with how it came out, but i wish i had some nice rose colored shoes...that would be perfect ;D

Anyways, so, the day's plans were to go to my Mom's friend's mini craft fair held at her house ^^
And she likes to make these wooden decorations & ornaments that are sooo cute ^^
She also makes these angels out of pods
and I've seen her work before (my mom bought from her before & i got a mini shelf from her)
but this time, she had these really pretty boxes...
and this Birdhouse, which totally called to me, but i don't know where i'd put it...
and here are some closeups of what was on the table ^^
This stand display is one of my favorites with her "Reach for the star" Hanging decorations ^^
And then after that, we picked up some lunch & ate with my sister & nephew at their house ^^
My mom also bought her one of the Hawaiian Angel ornaments, so we gave that to her then ^^
But, I bought myself one of the sunflower reach for the star hanging pieces & i found out that my sister has one from 25 years ago...& it's still in good condition ^_^
But, my best find was this CUTE Bear Family set that was soo precious & cheap, I HAD to get it ^_^

Then, the rest of the day was just spent around my house, on my comp...until a bday party i had to go to at night...but b/c it was rather hot & sunny, my outfit changed from long sleeve to having no blouse & just wearing a short sleeve jacket over...it's hard wearing Lolita in Hawaii sometimes ;P

LBC: Your Usual Lolita Makeup

This week's theme is my usual lolita makeup, but...I tend to change it up a lot depending on the theme & my outfit...Also, it depends if it's for a meetup or a photoshoot ;)

So, instead, since I just did this for my cosplay page, I'll show pics of how I do my base makeup for Lolita ^^
Step 1: Decide if i'm wearing a wig or not
If I am, put hair in wig cap, if not, just clip up bangs ;)
Step 2: Put in contacts(colored or plain) & apply primer
*also curl eyelashes for putting on falsies later*
Step 3: Use concealer to hide any blemishes

Step 4: Then I apply liquid foundation, following the technique of Minori, a shironuri artist
Her method is to apply the foundation with light tapping.
*These are the products I use for now...they're all pretty cheap, but they work, so even better ^^ *
Step 5: And after the liquid foundation, I press on powder foundation & even it out with light tapping ^^
& now I have my base makeup on ^_^
Step 6: Apply eye primer & then eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc. to add some color ^^
I use all kinds of different palettes, but this is one I got from an MUA that was leaving, so I've been trying to use it more ;)
*I also lighten my eyebrows if i'm using a light colored wig*
I tend to keep it light for Lolita & try to use a color that's in the print i'm wearing ^^
Step 7: Add false eyelashes & mascara to accentuate the eyes & make them more doll-like ;)
Step 8: Then, at this point, I like to put on my wig & make sure everything looks ok ;)
*might add more to the eye makeupat this point*
Step 9: Then, on goes the blush ^_^
Step 10: And then, to make sure it all stays on, I use a stayspray all over & make sure it dries before adding Lipgloss, lipstick, etc.
Step 11: Put on outfit, add accessories & VOILA! I'm good to go ^_^
*I also tend to take selfies right after to make sure the makeup is also camera ready ;D *

And now, here are a few other makeup looks i've done that range from really simple, to some color & sometimes to the dark side ;)

And here are some other makeup ideas from the LBC community ^^

LBC: The Picture That Made You Fall In Love With Lolita ^_^

Lolita Blog Carnival

Man, it's been months since I last wrote here O_O But, basically the reason is b/c I recently got an Ipad Mini, so I Rarely go on my computer nowadays ;P

But, I'll try to be better from now on & what better way to start up again, than to do the latest LBC ^_^

The theme was "The Picture That Made You Fall in Love with Lolita" ^^

This was actually really hard for me...when I FIRST discovered Lolita, it was probably online in a search, but I also had bought all of the English Gothic Lolita Bibles, so that could've have been when also ;)

But to say when I "Fell in Love" with it is probably when I finally decided to buy my first Brand piece ^^  I had only been buying Bodyline up till then, and I would of course drool at the name Brand pieces in the Japanese GLBs that I started collecting...but...probably the first time I WANTED to buy a Brand piece was when my friend gave me the "newest at the time" GLB vol for Christmas...and I fell in Love with THIS PICTURE ^_^

More like I fell in love with the Print! And, as in an older post, AATP's Masquerade Theater became my very first Brand Lolita purchase ;)

But then, after I bought it & bought a few more Brand Items from the comm sales, I tried out various styles, but still didn't really know "My Lolita Style"...and then, while looking through one of my GLBs, there was a section of the different styles...and as I looked through it, I realized I was starting to gravitate towards "Classic Lolita" and then...after finding my style, one particular model was slowly becoming my inspiration & I realized I Loved everything she wore...This of course was Midori, who's style I still admire & am inspired by ^_^
This particular section really caught my eye: I loved her coords & her expressions the most ^^

So, now that I had found my style & model inspiration...This Picture rekindled my love for the fashion:
Once again, it was the print that caught my eye...but the fact that Midori was the one wearing it, made me Want it even more ^_^

And after searching for a while...& doing the longest payment plan...luckily the seller was SUPER NICE, I finally obtained the dress XD

But enough of that, I think I WILL do my post about Midori next time ;)
And as for the fashion as a whole, I'm CONSTANTLY falling in Love with Lolita more & more from pictures online and I'm always trying to keep up to date with the latest styles by continuing to buy the Gothic Lolita Bibles ^_^

Alright! So that's my story & a little bit of History of me getting into Lolita...now here are the other LBC members & their Important Pics:
