MORE LOLI BAGS...MWAHAHAHA XD = Part 1

Sometime last year, i was all complaining about not having enough Loli bags...so i've been building up my collection...Especially the shaped ones XD

First Purse was from Tokyo Rebel...here's a quick review ^_^

One good thing is you get 2 options for shipping: Standard or Express ^^

Here's a timeline of my order:

April 19 - Placed order (recv'd email confirming order)

April 20 - Order shipped (recv'd email saying was shipped, provided tracking #)

April 24 - Received package (It came the same time as my bodyline order, so that was an awesome day ^^ )

So, even though I chose the standard shipping, it still came super fast ;)

IW's Rose Lace Book Bag in Black ^^

 I had just bought a vintage one, but IW is one of my all time Fave brands...& these sell SUPER FAST on the comm sales...so I decided to get it ;D

 there's a little zipper on the back

 And the inside is really roomy ^^

 And of course, it can fit a GLB XD

 They even sent a little thank you note along w/ the invoice...such good customer service ^^

The purse is soooo well- made & I'm really glad I decided to buy it...PLUS, unlike my vintage purse, this one can carry a lot...although, I'll probably keep both to have different coord ideas ;D

Happy Birthday to Me ^_^

So...My bday was on the 3rd...but i was buying all kinds of Lolita things leading up to it ;P

My first big purchase was from Bodyline XD  I usually order through GO, but...this time I decided to place the order by myself ^^  

 It took me a looooong time to decide what to get...I knew i wanted the Alice jsk...but then i was drawn to the model wearing the bustier dress & boots...& i decided i wanted that outfit for myself ^_^

 The Alice jsk is PERFECT...& the material & print is sooo beautiful ^^ Plus, i got the matching socks ;)

 The strapless jsk is made of a super sturdy fabric...& there's a rose pattern within the diamonds...I ended up using this JSK shortly after for a photoshoot...I did a Girl Ciel ^_^

Also, I've ordered shoes from bodyline before, but they were too big...so, after buying the RHS, i figured i'd go w/ that size & hope it fits...& IT DOES ^_^  These boots make me much taller too ;D

Gothic Lolita Bibles ;D

I first came across the GLB when they came out w/ the US versions...& I bought them all ^_^  Then, after they discontinued the mooks after vol 5...I found my first Imported GLB @ Kawaii Kon & instantly noticed that the Originals were sooo much better XD  Basically, there are LOTS MORE PICTURES in the imported vols than the US ones...which is what i wanted since I was still fairly new to Lolita @ the time & I needed coord ideas ;D

Then, after that...the collecting started...I would buy @ least one @ the Kon, I'd check on ebay, the comm sales, other local bookstores...

Now, this is what my collection looks like ^^  I have some of the beginning ones, a few in the middle...& a lot of the newer ones...& there's no sign of me stopping... ;P

vol 40: bought on the comm sales...i think...or maybe ebay?  I decided to buy it after reading a review on it ;D

Some older ones: someone was selling their collection of 10 bibles...& i had a lot of them already...so, i split the set w/ my friend ^^ vol: 33, 12,26...as well as a Gosu Loli & special Hair/Makeup GLB

Xmas present vol 41...i REALLY wanted this one ^^

vol 38: Bought @ a local bookstore that carries the bibles...they usually come in a little before the convention ;P

Vol 43 the latest vol ^^ & one i always wanted vol 37 XD

Usually, i'll check out reviews for vols...or try to find pics from a vol before i decide to buy one...like my latest purchase: vol 39

I kind of wanted to buy it...since it contained the newest(@ the time) collection from IW: the collaboration w/ Gosick ^^  but then i decided against it...until i flipped through it again...starting from the back ;D

The cover was also a little different than the usual ones too...but after looking inside, it's supposed to be Heidi & Clara, hense the alps ^_^

But, besides that, the Pattern pages were the main reason for me getting this vol...it's models wearing the same outfits as the cover art ^^

I really love looking through the bibles & I always feel inspired to do Lolita shoots...so...today, I did a mini one w/ a fellow Lolita for Easter ^_^  It's...kind of easter~y...& we Do have bunny ears XD

Book-Shaped Bags ^_^

Since i've worked @ a bookstore a good portion of my life: 6 years @ the UH bookstore...& almost 2 years @ Borders...it makes sense that I develop a love of books & especially book-shaped things...like, my ring for example ;D

But, my latest OBSESSION is to get one of the Lolita book-shaped bags...sadly...i have yet to find one or have enough money to buy one...but, instead...i randomly search on Ebay & found an awesome offbrand one that I LOVE ^^

& I thought it was super unique & an awesome must have vintage piece ;D

& then...i was searching on ebay...usually i don't get too many hits for book-shaped bags...but then i saw it...& i said "hey, that's the one from the street snap"  & then i bought it XD  

I guess it was pretty pricey, but i know i'm going to get a lot of use out of it, so it felt like a good deal to me...Plus...i can't wait around forever for one of those Lolita book bags...sigh...

Anyways, this one is a cross-over body bag, so i can fit more stuff in it ;)

& the rings make it extra unique XD

I also like the cover...i don't know what it says...but it's pretty ;D

Coordinating fun w/ ETC!

I recently bought an ETC dress from a fellow Lolita...& the main reason is b/c...

THEY'RE FUN TO MAKE COORDS WITH ^_^

ETC patterns are so cute & colorful, there are so many ways to create outfits w/ them...I once got stuck looking @ all the pics on the tumblr O_O  

Well, first, here's the dress i bought:

I'm not sure what it's called, but it's so pretty...maybe jewelry something? 

but anyways, 2 of my favorite colors right now are Peach & Mint, so...here are the coords ;D

Peach: I found the cardi @ a garage sale...& i recently bought the flats @ F21 ^^

 & Mint: Sweater/wrap from Goodwill...& i just bought the mint sandals from Wet Seal...i've been finding awesome lolita things in retails stores lately :D

I also wouldn't mind bringing out the Jewel colors as well...or maybe do a Gold theme? So many possibilities XD

Ebay Seller Review ^^

Hellos ^^ So, I finally gave in & bought my first pair of Rocking Horse Shoes XD

I used to peruse the egl comm sales, but they never had the color or size i needed...& if they did, it would sell fast O_O

So, instead, I decided to buy through ebay ^^

& their feedback is 99.6%, so @ least it's in the high 99...

The prices range from $35 to $59...& shipping ranges from $20 - $35.

There's also a combined shipping option, which will take off $2 of each item...

Ordering is easy: just choose a size & color, pay, then wait for the notifications.

I ordered my shoes on the 23rd...the6 shipped out on the 27th...& then i received them on the 30th, which is some insanely fast shipping ;D

they came in perfect condition...except for some of the floam edging  sticking out...but it's really minor

Plus, they're super comfortable XD 

I just decided to wear them w/ my outfit for the auto show ;D

I never ordered RHS before, so i had to ask a fellow Lolita about sizing...& she said that she gets them a half size up, so i decided to do the same.

Overall, ordering was easy, shipping was fast, & shoes came in great condition...i'd DEFINITELY order from them again...which might be pretty soon in fact ;)

Putting together an outfit/Day of Thrifting ^_^

Today I wanted to wear Lolita...but then it became a thrifting day, so I wanted to dress vintage~y...

The Result became...another one of my Dolly-Loli coords XD

Now, someone once asked me how I go about putting my outfits together...& basically, i start w/ one piece...& then go from there until i'm satisfied ;)

Today's was the headband ^^ Then, i searched my closet for something to match it, which turned out to be my Loli skirt.  Then, I found the green blouse to match the skirt.  & finally, i wanted a more Dolly-kei look, so i added the lace top & belt/accessories ^_^

*a short note about my skirt: So, this skirt was my VERY FIRST Lolita project...& I attempted to use the GLB pattern & everything...but, b/c of the insanely tiny japanese measurements...the skirt came out a little different than how i wanted...but, Actually, I get A LOT of use from it b/c it's casual enough to wear to family occasions, so maybe that was a good thing... ;D *

Lastly, come shoes...which is often the hardest to decide for me(bags are the other hard one :/ )...but since i was planning on trying on shoes, i opted for flats XD This gives a more dolly-kei look.

 But, if this was for a meetup...i'd probably wear knee highs & elegant boots...& i would change my purse to match (purse was found during thrifting) & this is the more Lolita look.

And, of course...the Loot ^_^

couple tops (the red one is Michael Kors ;D ), versatile sheer cover-up, cute dress, some espadrilles, a couple purses & a jewelry holder ^_^  Sadly, i couldn't find what i actually need...ballet flats...sigh...i might just make-shift/alter something.
