Latest Lolita Adventures ;)

Since I can BARELY keep up with all my updates, blogs, posts, etc...I'm going to do one LONG post about ALL my latest Lolita adventures ;)  So...here...we...GO!!

First, the biggest event for me every year...Kawaii Kon ^_^

Our anime convention in Hawaii...& this year...we had HUGE Lolita guests:

Harajuku Hearts/Angelic Pretty/BPN had a booth

h.Naoto's MINT brought his Mint Neko brand goods as well as some other h.Naoto merch ^^

PLUS! He put on a fashion show to showcase his newest items...And I was one of the models XD

We all had to submit applications & only 13 models made it, so it was a HUGE honor & experience I will NEVER FORGET ^_^

It was LOTS OF FUN & It was sooo amazing being able to meet the designer, Mint ;D

Plus, all the models were really friendly & the show was a success!

Another amazing Lolita guest was Iruma Rioka...who is soooo amazing in her music & style XD

She wore a BEAUTIFUL Atelier Pierrot Dress & her performance was SOOO WONDERFUL...along w/ her guitarist, Nemu & her teddy bear, Honey ^_^

Of course, I "had" to buy Lolita items, so here's my loot ^^

 After hanging around backstage in my Mint Neko top...I HAD to buy it...it's sooo comfortable...Plus, if you bought some merchandise from Mint's booth, u got a signed polaroid with him ^^ I also bought the cute kitty necklace b/c he added it to my show outfit...as a last minute accessory :)

for my main loot, I mainly wanted some Diamond print socks...but they didn't have the color I wanted, so I settled for redxivory(2nd choice) and I was drawn to the Trumps print ones ^^

Best souvenir EVER!! 

and I got Iruma & Nemu's autographs as well by buying the cd & standing in the autograph line...totally worth it XD

THEN! After the craziness of Kon...things could finally go back to normal...& I continued my usual shopping sprees ^^

AP Marionette Clock halter jsk...it's sooo wonderful & I just can't resist any clock themed items...I really want the socks & headbow one day ;)

h.Naoto cat cap(to be used for a photoshoot), some alice in wonderland tights & mirage in paradox skirt in navy (i have the jsk, but the skirt is super cute too...& there are more gold elements^^)

And then...Day Dream Carnival was released...& it was CRAZINESS O_O  My SS sadly couldn't get me the dress I wanted...& I WAS willing to go through the auctions...but then...it just seemed not even worth it after i kept seeing the price go up & up & UP O_O

I mean, I DID love the dress, but not enough to pay a ridiculous amount of money for...not when I could buy something else with that money...so...i asked for my refund back & even though the prices have dropped, i'm still glad I can buy something more in my style ;)

I still want a really nice piece, but I think I shall put DDC on my wishlist for later on when the craziness is over...or maybe i'll have money by the re-release...but...i'm kind of over the print now...AP's not my fave brand either since it's too sweet for me, so we'll see...

In the meantime, I've been becoming interested in elaborate prints again, so I shall be writing a post about that...soon ;D  I've also been REALLY into more Mint Neko items b/c they're so casual & I can easily wear them to work...so, there shall be a post about that as well XDD

I'll end with saying that I'd LOVE to get back into doing the Lolita Blog Carnival soon...but I was sick during the convention & after...& then work got a little crazy...so hopefully things will be settled by April & I can update this more ;)

I'm also going to do 2 reviews soon, so keep an eye out for those ^^

Week 22: Designing Your Dream Closet

Lolita Blog Carnival

As I've FINALLY decided on my Lolita style: Classic w/ a hint of sweet ;D  I have been trying to build up my wardrobe recently & have obtained LOTS of main pieces & lots of dream items i'm extremely happy with ^_^

But, OF COURSE, for many Lolitas, there's always something new to add to the wishlists, but FIRST, I shall go over the NEEDS & then the WANTS ^^

Need #1: Hair Accessories

Along with a more Classic Wardrobe, I really need more Headdress/ Headpieces to match ;)

 I love the classic rectangle headdress w/ lace & some kind of flower embellishment

 But I'd love more Round headdresses...

Or pieces with Veils :)

 And then, I'd really like to own more matching headpieces, like this hat for Mirage in Paradox

or my ultimate: Masquerade Theater bonnet XD

Need #2: Lolita Jewelry

Now, I'm always happy when I find an offbrand jewelry item that matches my Lolita prints, but i've been thinking I'd like to have more actual Brand jewelry, especially pieces that go w/ my various prints ;D

 I DESPERATELY want all the jewelry for Mirage in Paradox ;D

 I also just love a lot of Baby/Alice jewelry, like this one for the new collab ^^

And since I love all things Teddy Bears, I have been collecting Shy Bear jewelry for my Sweet Side ^^

And then, my latest WANTS ;)

It seems almost kismet that IW, one of my favorite bands, came out with a new dress called the Aileen Onepiece (which is my name ;D), so that quickly bumped up to the top of my wishlist & my wardrobe won't feel complete without it ^^

 The newest Baby collab w/ Midori, my fave Lolita model ;D

I can't afford the dress, but I put in my reserve for the Scarf//Sash ^^ 

I'd love to add more colors to my wardrobe, like gray, burgundy & even an all white piece ^_^

Now, i'm not a huge fan of AP, but I fell in love with this AP Marionette Clock JSK, which i'm currently paying for ^^

 And Lastly, I think I need @ least one OTT piece to "complete" my collection, so why not a wonderfully classic looking AP print: Day Dream Carnival ^_^

I also wouldn't mind more Lolita shoes, bags, etc...but these are my absolute dream items right now ^^

WARDROBE POST: Part 1: Main Pieces ;)

A quick intro:

When I first got into Lolita, I was still a student &/or working part time, so I mainly had Bodyline items or offbrand pieces...And then, last year, I started a full time job & went a little crazy buying whatever brand items I saw on the comm sales & closet child...

But, I couldn't settle on what my style was...so, about halfway through the year, I came across the GLB vol 42 or 43 & they had a section showing the various Lolita styles...& then, I realized I was more into the Classic style ;D

And so, I've started selling my outfits that didn't "suit me" & buying more items that are Classic...BUT, I love a lot of prints, so maybe there's a sweet aspect too ;)

And so, it's almost March already, but I FINALLY took pictures of my GROWING Lolita Wardrobe ;D
Unfortunately, I haven't had time to take pictures of my accessories, shoes, etc...so there shall be a part 2...eventually XD
