Putting together an outfit/Day of Thrifting ^_^

Today I wanted to wear Lolita...but then it became a thrifting day, so I wanted to dress vintage~y...

The Result became...another one of my Dolly-Loli coords XD

 

breakdown of outfit:

Now, someone once asked me how I go about putting my outfits together...& basically, i start w/ one piece...& then go from there until i'm satisfied ;)

Today's was the headband ^^ Then, i searched my closet for something to match it, which turned out to be my Loli skirt.  Then, I found the green blouse to match the skirt.  & finally, i wanted a more Dolly-kei look, so i added the lace top & belt/accessories ^_^

*a short note about my skirt: So, this skirt was my VERY FIRST Lolita project...& I attempted to use the GLB pattern & everything...but, b/c of the insanely tiny japanese measurements...the skirt came out a little different than how i wanted...but, Actually, I get A LOT of use from it b/c it's casual enough to wear to family occasions, so maybe that was a good thing... ;D *

Lastly, come shoes...which is often the hardest to decide for me(bags are the other hard one :/ )...but since i was planning on trying on shoes, i opted for flats XD This gives a more dolly-kei look.

 But, if this was for a meetup...i'd probably wear knee highs & elegant boots...& i would change my purse to match (purse was found during thrifting) & this is the more Lolita look.

And, of course...the Loot ^_^

couple tops (the red one is Michael Kors ;D ), versatile sheer cover-up, cute dress, some espadrilles, a couple purses & a jewelry holder ^_^  Sadly, i couldn't find what i actually need...ballet flats...sigh...i might just make-shift/alter something.

Anyways, there it is...my "current" Lolita Wardrobe...we just did a bodyline order, so i'll be getting another skirt & bag: The Carousel print one...couldn't resist ^_^ 

Who knows if i'll get in something else too...the comm sales are evil ;P

MORE H.NAOTO!! ^_^

I absolutely LOVE this brand...& after acquiring a few Honey pieces & Frill bags...I Finally splurged & got a Frill JSK XD  

 I think i'll keep using plushies to block out the shipping info ;)  Sadly, the box arrived slightly damaged to the post office :/

 JSK was wrapped up & seemed to be ok...

 & Yups! It's in Perfect Condition XD  So, there were SEVERAL reasons that convinced me to get this dress...1) It's FRILL!!! 2) It's Military style w/ a cute print & 3)...

 There's German words on it O_O  That's when it HAD to be Mine ;D  I believe it says "Go to sleep, My little Prince" Sooo...cute ;) There's also something about sleeping by the silver shine?

 The JSK itself is actually a little big on me, but w/ a blouse underneath, it should be perfect ^^

 And, since I noticed that there were carriages & carousel horses on the bottom...i decided to once again wear my Cinderella jewelry...yay! now i can wear them w/ 2 outfits XD

*Alright, so as I stated...since I now have ALL of my latest Lolita purchases, my next post WILL be the Wardrobe post...which i'll probably work on tomorrow ;)

Lolitadesu Review ^^

So, after perusing the comm sales...& drooling over prints i can't afford atm...I saw that Lolitadesu was having a sale on some items & so after checking out the site & a couple of reviews, i decided to give them a try ^_^

There were a bunch of things on sale, but I decided to get a Shirley Temple Cinderella print skirt :D  

And then...I added a couple more items: Lace black fan & an Imai Kira bookmark ^^

Shipping came out to about $15, which is about normal for international ;) 

It took about a week to come & they were good about letting me know when my order was shipped.

Packaging was a well-sealed padded envelope & the bookmark was safely inside another envelope...along w/ a Lolitadesu card ^^

Overall, ordering was easy & I would order from them again!

 And lastly...a REALLY quick coord ;P  it's really blurry, but it was dinner time, so I quickly put the skirt on over a petti( it's SUPER SHORT...even on me XP ), put on a black blouse & wore my Cinderella Themed jewelry ^_^  I also wore my OTK meta socks i got from my LP.

*Some things about the skirt: 

There is one pocket...but, if you put the bow in the back, the pocket is facing the wrong way...so, that's why it's in the front ;P  Another thing is the fabric for the skirt is pretty thick...& also, the size is pretty small...but i still fit...kind of ;) 

P.S. I WILL do my wardrobe post...but i'm waiting for my last Lolita item to come...it's an h.naoto frill jsk XD

My First Fukubukurou - Part 2 ^_^

And then...I also bought a LOLITA LUCKY PACK ^_^  I was waiting for the BTSSB/A/P one, but i didn't really want any of the choices, so I got the Meta Winter LP...the cheaper one XD  & i pretty much got it on the day it came out...which could be why...I got some AMAZING stuff O_O

 Package that got delivered (no one was home when they came, so my mom had to pick it up for me...i bet she was wondering what was inside ;D )

 And then...my LP loot ^_^

 I Squealed in delight when i saw this skirt!! I almost instantly recognized the print (Meta's Nostalgic Chessboard print) & it was almost going to be on my wishlist when chess prints were the latest trend ^_^

 And then, i saw this blouse &..it's SUPER GORGEOUS...Chiffon i think...w/ a necktie thing that i figured out later when i was trying it all on ;D

 The 2 OTK socks are just what i need in my collection & this headband is good too b/c i don't have many white & off-white hair accessories ;P

 There was a lovely postcard inside as well...i guess that's a normal thing :)

 And finally...I tried everything on & IT ALL FITS PERFECTLY!!  The skirt is elastic waist & the blouse has a tie in the back to adjust the size...& luckily both socks fit over my somewhat large calves ;D  The headband too looked really small, but when i tried it on, it didn't press against my head like i thought it would XD

It almost seemed like fate that i would get this print...especially since i recently found this lovely crown bag on a thrifting day...it matches well :D

 So, in the end, i am SOOO GLAD I gave in & bought a LP...it was a rather impulse buy, but i'm soo extremely happy w/ what i got & I would definitely buy one again ;D

My First Fukubukurou - Part 1 ^^

After hearing soo much about Fukubukurou @ the mall, I finally decided to check it out w/ my friends...& it was soo much fun ^_^

We got to the mall around 9ish...& then we each waited in front of a store: 2 of us had Forever 21 & the rest were outside Sephora's XD

Sephora's turned out to be a waste b/c they only had a small number of bags & they didn't tell anyone about it >_<  On the other hand...F21 was great :D  They actually opened before 10 & since i was near the beginning of the line, I was able to get the cute cupcake print bag ^^  

Other stores we went to were: Godiva, Spiral Girl, Lupicia & Artlines (a few even went into Gucci O_O )  But, I ended up also getting an Artlines Lucky bag before i had to leave to go to a family lunch ;)

I always have the family new year's day lunch, so i can only shop until a certain time, but i would DEFINITELY go again & hopefully this can become a new "tradition" ;D

& now pics:

 My Lucky Bag from Forever21 was filled w/ all these goodies ^_^  I even wore the red floral bracelet that day...& I also got the cute cupcake tote bag & a hello kitty item...but i gave them to my friend who stood in line w/ me (b/c she loves cupcakes & HK) ;)  Also, the brown headwrap was a trade w/ my friend's Spiral Girl LP...I definitely should save up for that one next year ;)

 & Here's the Artlines loot ^^  Overall, I liked it...I always wanted one of those beaded bags...& all the paper products are really cool...not to mention...the awesome woven bag that it all came in XD

And since i had some time...I quickly checked out bookoff & got a couple of cds & a video game...couldn't resist ;)

 L'arc en Ciel & Girl's Generation (both older albums...& both good ^_^ ) & the game is called A Witch's Tale, which is super cute ^^

Haha, so...i have...18 Imported Gothic Lolita Bibles...& the 5 English ones...& I still want more XD

But...the reason I buy them is to see outfit ideas...especially w/ prints that I have ^^

And...to prove my point, I was looking through the "Christmas" issue vol 27(imported)...for ideas for xmas coords...when...I managed to find a lovely picture of the new JSK i just got :D  

It's IW's "Sweets Teddy Bear" print & I have this JSK in black...as well as the shopping tote pictured on the bottom ^^  I had a hard time finding out the name of the print b/c it's an Xmas Fair print ;)  The only "problem" is now I REALLY want that matching handbag...sigh... XD

&...here's my recent outfit when I went out w/ my wonderful Lolita friends :D

 I just got a high collar red blouse @ goodwill recently, so i wore it w/ the JSK to bring out the red elements...& then I don't have too many Lolita hair accessories, but berets always seem very IW to me ^_^
