Thrifting...again?? XD

Hehe, YES! it seems like I go to Goodwill @ least 2 times a month...but i can't resist all those bargains...sigh... ;D  Heh, anyways, this is my latest Loot:

 Mainly clothes this time...with one AMAZING find by my friends...who were nice enough to let me have it ^_^  This Wonderful Jacket:

 Blue Fur!!! How could I resist XD  & the collar is detachable ^_^  Of course I "modeled" it w/ my Octopus ring & Q-pot cream ring ;)

There's another thrifting day coming up, but i've got lots of things already...just maybe more blouses to wear under stuff this time...or maybe...a white coat?  i seriously want one even though i'll melt here :/  

P.S. the clutter in the above pic is no longer there...I was cleaning ALL DAY Sunday >_<  but now it's all nice, clean & organized, so i guess it was a good thing ^^

Latest (Lolita) obsessions, goodwill, etc...

My latest "Lolita" obsession is: Cinderella ^^

It was actually my very first disney movie...& i was so obsessed w/ Roger's & Hammersteins version, i wrote down practically the whole movie & i would memorize it XD

Needless to say, I saw the Cinderella Lolita prints, but I was into different things at the time, i didn't think about it...until...i got the most awesomeness necklace ;)

It was @ Forever21 & I just couldn't resist...I also got a Teddy Bear necklace, but that's an ongoing obsession ;)  

So, after I got the necklace, I became determined to find a Lolita print that would match...& my absolute fave is the Baby Cinderella Jewelry print in Cream x Sax...I think the necklace would compliment it very nicely...but, i'll have to save up a lot for it...XP

My other choice was the AP Cinderella print, but I only liked the skirt in that...& i've never gotten anything AP before :/

Haha, but that'll be an ongoing quest until i save up enough money for it XD

In the meantime, I'm happy just going to Goodwill...I find so many awesome things ^^

 These were from my latest Thrifting day ^_^  The vintage dress fits absolutely perfectly ^^ & the winnie the pooh items are for a future fairy kei outfit XD  Then, I found the cutest stuffed sheep & light blue bear.  The silver thing is an awesome belt...&, the most surprising find...the CD...it's Orange Range!! Only a single, but it's the * one, so it's all good ;D

I even found a couple of presents for friends (so those aren't in the pic...just in case...)  

But, the main reason for going to goodwill was to find items for an upcoming AIW steampunk tea party...& I did ^^  I found a bag, white skirt which i fashioned into an "apron" & a belt to bring it all together ;)  

& here's the result:

& now i'm really into makeup, so...i experimented a little today...mainly to try out my gold liquid liner XD

 it's a little messy, & i had to take it w/out flash otherwise u can't see the gold, but...i still had fun doing it & i was inspired by the butterfly clip in my hair XD

*side note* I'm SO SUPER DUPER behind on the Tokyo Fashion Express episodes, so I have no idea when i'll get around to those...sigh...it's hard now b/c i started working on Mondays again :/  But, I will try my best to update this more often...especially if i get into a new fashion ;D

Latest purchases & playing dress-up ^_^

So, BEFORE I found out about my work situation...i did some shopping ;D

First up, from Ebay...another GLB vol 40 XD  I couldn't resist...someone did a review of it on their blog & I HAD to have it ^^ 

 2nd, a Wig from the egl comm sales...I always wanted a long-curly brown one & this one actually matches me (according to my mom ;D )

 Then, on the side, i did a group order of contacts & got a new blue pair...since my other ones were giving me problems :/  & she gave me one of the contact holders too...sooo cute ^^

 I was planning to use these contacts for my Alice...can u tell?

i can't really tell they're blue, but my mom can, so that's good enough for me XD

But, now i gotta save, save save...sigh...so less shopping from me...guess i should sew more or something XP

Sewing project: Part 2

Most was done by Monday, but straps & pocket were added Tues night...& then i washed & wore it out on Wed...probably the fastest outfit i've ever made ;P

Anyways, here are the progress pics i promised :)

After making base dress, the top was gathered w/ elastic (like a tube top)

Then, I made a ruffle & sewed it on...along with sewing down a doily to the top (half on the front, half on the back).

 Then, I added on straps & sewed down a smaller doily to make a pocket ^^

 And there u have it, my Doily Dress :D

A quick coord using a top I got from a friend, some lace ankle socks & white eyelet cork sandals ^^

I'm really happy w/ how this dress came out b/c it can be worn like this...or it can be belted to create a different look (other coords to come) XD

Sewing project: Part 1

Now, since I have YET to catch up w/ all my Tokyo Fashion Express shows :/   I shall instead try to finish some sewing projects & post them here XD

so I woke up & dressed for a day of sewing:

 Just a simple outfit of an eyelet dress & vest...but the key is my scissors necklace that I HAD to wear ^_^

& now...my fabric:

I found this & thought "OOOH! So vintage XD"  & yet it's also a bit "Local" (it's got Hawaiian type flowers) 

My construction idea may be "cheating" a bit...no zippers or shirring...but I really wanted to make this into something to use for Dolly-Kei...& HOPEFULLY, if my design permits...even Lolita ;D

Well, if that's my plan I better get started on it...progress pics to be uploaded...eventually XP

Thrifting part 2

This time a bunch of us went to a different Goodwill...& spent about 3/4 hours in there ;P

But...we all came out w/ Incredible finds...I couldn't buy everything I wanted, but the items I didn't want, my friends took, so @ least someone can use them XD  

 I got to wear my new octopus ring ^_^

 AMAZING finds...this was a really good haul...& some of them were picked out for me by my friends...they really know my style ;D  things I picked were the brown espadrilles, tea cup vest, magazine holder(look @ the spine!!) & the awesomely awesome carousel sweater...& yes, those are carousel horses on the lace collar...I almost died when I found it...now I just need an outfit w/ it XD  &...since i'm so into ponies, i picked up a couple...a really cute pegasus & a precious moments unicorn...how could I not ^_^

 Then...I got home & had a package from my wonderful friend...she got me a lovely top from when she went thrifting ^_^  It's absolutely perfect & I can't wait to make a coord w/ it XD

Ok, so, now i'm all caught up w/ my posting...I'll try to be a bit more consistent w/ this, but sometimes i'm just so lazy, heh ;P  Till next time ^^

Thrifting part 1

Thrifting~aka~ Goodwill on June 30th ^^

My friend & I spent about 2 hours @ Goodwill & we came out w/ some awesome finds ^_^

 What I wore for a day of Thrifting ^^  It was hot, but my poncho like top was really comfortable :D

 Finds of the day: A cute patterned jacket (from charlotte russe) & an adorable stuffed sheep ^_^
